
Stinchcombe History Society research the history of Stinchcombe and the surrounding area. If you would like to help with an ongoing local history project or have ideas for new projects, to join us. Even if you do not want to be involved in research yourself, you may have valuable local knowledge to contribute. We would love to hear your memories and stories of life in and around Stinchcombe.

Stinchcombe History Society holds talks, usually in Stinchcombe Village Hall. We invite guest speakers on varied historical subjects or a members to talk about their own research. The Society also puts on occasional exhibitions, either as a standalone event or in conjunction with others. We work with the 5 Valleys Local History Association.
Stinchcombe History Society is devoted to uncovering and preserving our own village’s heritage, fostering community pride through shared stories and historical discovery.

Stinchcombe Village Heritage Walk
Take a short self-guided walk from the Village Hall.
The Stinchcombe Village Heritage Walk is a 1 ¼ mile (2 km) circular route. We can offer guided walks for groups.
It takes in many of Stinchcombe’s listed buildings and other landmarks.

St Cyrs Church
The church is grade 2* listed and is built of local stone. An extensive restoration of the building was begun in 1854.
